The Pneumonia Prevention Vests program is back!
So, knitters and crocheters, it’s time to get out your needles and hooks once again and continue as you did before.
We would also like to WELCOME people with sewing machines who can make vests from recyclable warm materials, such as fleece, sweaters, sweatshirts and pants, etc.
So get creative, and remember these are for children. Please look in your closets and see how you can help.
Please be sure that the items are clean.
The pneumonia prevention vests typically measure about 11”x 11” (28cm x 28cm). We have a pattern for the knitted vests if you need one. If you wish to knit larger items, that is welcome as well.
We have made contact with one of the highest-rated charities in Canada: Canadian Food for Children, located in Mississauga, Ontario. They donate to Middle/South Africa and Peru, South America. A generous donor will pay the shipping costs from Calgary to Mississauga.
